Event overview
UGI 11 is a submission only grappling card, run inside the cage and built matchup by matchup.
Athletes are paired individually on competitive fit, rank, weight and record rather than drawn into a division. Every bout is built and presented on its own, with the graphics, photography and gear produced by Catch & Submit.
The format is the UGI format: two six-minute rounds, submission only, and a six-minute overtime decided by the first takedown if nobody has finished it. Weight is agreed as part of the matchup rather than set by a division.

How the day works
UGI is a matchmade card. That shapes everything from entry to walkout.
Matchmade, not a bracket
You do not enter a bracket. Matchmaking pairs you with a named opponent using your rank, weight and record, and the bout is agreed before the card is published.
You are on a card
Every bout is built and billed individually: poster, Tale of the Tape, graphics. Your entry is what feeds that.
You know the format going in
Two six-minute rounds, submission only, every submission legal. If nobody finishes it, one six-minute overtime and the first takedown wins.

UGI does not use brackets, divisions or fixed weight classes. Every bout is made individually: we look at your experience and the weight you submit, and pair you with an opponent we think is right for you, aiming to stay within 10 lb of your submitted weight.
Registering does not guarantee a match. It puts you in front of matchmaking.

Athletes happy to be presented
Every competitor gets a proper photograph and a fight-card treatment. That is part of the deal.
Registering does not guarantee a bout. Matchmaking has to find you an opponent who fits, and that does not always happen for every athlete on every card. If it does not, you keep your profile and you are in the pool for the next one.
How to register
Registration runs from an athlete account. That is not bureaucracy. It is what stops you retyping your details for every card, and what keeps a past appearance accurate after you change gym or belt.

One email, no password. If you have competed at UGI before and we hold your details. You can claim that profile and keep your history attached to you.

Confirm your athlete information
Academy, rank, weight and record are asked every card because they move. Everything else is already on file.

Submit your UGI 11 registration
Including which format you are open to: singles, 2v2 or either, and which photograph this card should use.

We review the entry
Approved means your entry is complete and accepted for the card.

Matchmaking happens separately
Pairing athletes is its own step, done on competitive fit across everyone who entered.

Approved does not mean matched
They are two different things and we keep them apart on purpose. My Events shows both, so you always know which stage you are at.
