Privacy

Only what running an event needs, and only what you type in yourself.

• Your account: an email address, and either a password you choose or a Google account you sign in with.
• Your athlete profile: name, phone number, date of birth, academy and rank. Nickname, Instagram handle, hometown, when you started grappling, your game type, specialty and record are optional.
• A photograph, if you upload one for the fight card.
• An entry to a UGI event: the weight, rank and academy that apply to that card, your format preference, and the three acknowledgements you tick — stored word for word, with the version and the date you agreed.
• A seminar registration: first and last name, email, phone, academy, whether the attendee is under eighteen, and a parent or guardian’s name if they are.

Your date of birth is stored rather than an age, because an age typed into a form is wrong by the next event. Only the age it produces is ever shown.

• There is no analytics on this site. No tracking pixels, no advertising tags, no session recording, no third-party scripts watching what you read.
• The contact form stores nothing. It composes a message in your own mail app and sends it from your address — nothing reaches a server here.
• We never see a card number. Nothing is charged on this site at all.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.

One kind, for one job: keeping you signed in. The session cookie is set when you sign in and cleared when you sign out. It is marked HttpOnly, so no script on the page can read it, and Secure in production.

There are no advertising or analytics cookies, which is why this site does not ask you to accept any.

Your contact details are never published. The public event pages, the fight card and UGI’s promotional graphics carry your name, academy, rank, age and record — the things a card is made of.

Your email address, phone number, date of birth, legal name and the location of any photograph you upload cannot reach those surfaces. That is not a habit, it is enforced: a test in this project fails the build if any of those fields is ever added to the data the creative tools receive.

Inside Catch & Submit, your full details are visible to the people running the event and nobody else.

A photograph you upload is stored privately. It is not on a public URL, the filename is chosen by the server rather than taken from your file, and it is only ever loaded through a short-lived signed link.

Permission to photograph and film you at an event, and to use a portrait you supply, is a separate tick from entering the event and from accepting the rules — three questions, because they are three different things and someone can reasonably say yes to one and no to another.

You keep ownership of any photograph you supply. Ticking that box gives UGI permission to use it in promotional material. It is not a transfer of copyright.

Four services, each doing one job:

• Supabase — the database, sign-in, and storage for the photograph you upload.
• Google — only if you choose Continue with Google. We receive your email address and name from them; they are told you signed in to Catch & Submit.
• Resend — sends your registration confirmation email, and nothing else.
• Vercel — serves this website.

No one else receives your information.

A seminar registration for someone under eighteen records a parent or guardian’s name, so that an adult responsible for them is reachable on the night. It is required, not optional.

A registration is the record of a competition, so entries, results and the acknowledgements attached to them are kept as part of the event’s history.

Your account and profile are kept while you have one. Ask us to close it and the profile and any photograph you uploaded are removed.

Sign in and your profile is editable in full: correct anything, replace your photograph, or update an entry before the card is set.

For anything you cannot do from your account — a copy of what we hold, or removing your account entirely — write to us and say so plainly.

This page carries the date it last changed. If what we collect or who handles it ever changes, this page changes first.
